This is the first in the expression series. A series of paintings that are to capture emotions, yes, I am going to go after that thing I love. Emotion.

Does it look like me? I hope so. Initially this painting was not supposed to be me at all. I wanted to work with a friend of a friend, but that seemed to be too complicated… so I decided to use my face as a starter… and to go from there. As I learned from some very important people in my life, start with what you’ve got, and go from there. So, that’s exactly what I’ve done here.

I wish I had words to explain the exact emotion expressed in this painting, it’s definitely subtle. I don’t want to tell you the exact thought “the subject” has in mind. But I will give you a hint, the emotion is a by product of “V for Vendetta… or Valentines”… think about it.
